Nothing burns like the cold

A windy day is not the day for thatching
Irish Proverb

Betwixt mine eye and heart a league is took,
And each doth good turns now unto the other,
When that mine eye is famished for a look,
 Or heart in love with sighs himself doth smother;
With my love's picture then my eye doth feast,
And to the painted banquet bids my heart:
Another time mine eye is my heart's guest,
And in his thoughts of love doth share a part.
So either by thy picture or my love,
Thy self away, art present still with me,
For thou not farther than my thoughts canst move,
And I am still with them, and they with thee.
Or if they sleep, thy picture in my sight
Awakes my heart, to heart's and eye's delight.

"A mind at peace, a mind centered and not focused on harming others, is stronger than any physical force in the universe." - Wayne Dyer
"Design is in everything we make, but it’s also between those things. It’s a mix of craft, science, storytelling, propaganda, and philosophy" -  Erik Adigard

"To photograph truthfully and effectively is to see beneath the surfaces and record the qualities of nature and humanity which live or are latent in all things."
-Ansel Adams

I thought it would be an interesting and fun creative exercise to post some black and white photo images with some short bits of text (quotes, proverbs, bits of poems)

The conversion to grey-scale changes our perspective.  It seems to highlight image's stillness.  It helps us look deeper at the textures and peaceful shades in the subject. The text I hope will complement the image in a way that explores some of these layers.

Enjoy
